Help with CADshift AI for AutoCAD in Microsoft 365 Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude and other AI assistants.

How to get help

  1. Check the set-up guide. The documentation covers installing the plugin, signing in, and connecting Microsoft 365 Copilot, Claude and other assistants, and troubleshooting for the common problems.
  2. Make sure AutoCAD is open and signed in. Your assistant reaches the AutoCAD on your PC. If it answers that no AutoCAD is connected, open AutoCAD with CADshift and press Sign in on the CADshift ribbon tab, then ask again.
  3. Email us. If that does not solve it, write to [email protected]. Tell us which assistant you use, your AutoCAD version, what you asked for and what happened. We get back to you the same business day (Australian Eastern time).

Report content or a problem with an answer

CADshift gives your AI assistant tools to read and change drawings in your AutoCAD. The assistant writes its own answers. To report content that is harmful, offensive or wrong, a tool that did something you did not ask for, or a security or privacy concern, email [email protected] with the subject “Content report”. Include the date and time, the assistant you used and, if you can, a screenshot of the conversation. Do not send drawings or passwords. We confirm receipt within one business day.

Content the assistant itself produced can also be reported to its provider (Microsoft, OpenAI or Anthropic) through the feedback buttons in the assistant.

Service status

Assistants such as Microsoft 365 Copilot and ChatGPT reach your AutoCAD through the CADshift relay at https://cadshift.com/mcp. If your assistant cannot reach AutoCAD, first check that AutoCAD is open and signed in (the Status button on the CADshift tab shows whether this PC is connected), then see troubleshooting. If it still fails, email [email protected] and we tell you whether the relay has a problem and when it is fixed.

Claude Desktop and other assistants that run the CADshift server on your own PC do not use the relay and keep working without it.
